    Stag Arms Bolt Carrier Question

Hi, I am new here and am proud to join as a new soon-to-be calgunner.

I am looking to purchase a Stag Arms 2HT upper listed at the link below for my first build.

My question; is the bolt and bolt carrier a M16 or AR15 version carrier? Semi? or Auto?

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I simply don't know and am reaching out.

I would prefer the M16 Auto bolt based solely on the heaviness and reliability I keep reading about.

Of course my OLL would be semi as required by law.

    Thank you

Thank you for the quick response and welcome.

Would you be able to recommend a reliable and well-priced M16 Auto carrier?

          Thanks

            Bravo company! $145 IIRC.

One of the best there is. Also check with Addax Tactical, a few $$$ less and just as good!

I don't see a need to immediately go out and buy a new BCG. It's not like the one you get will be unreliable.

But if you feel the need to, BCM is good to go.

There's A LOT of info to digest, so I would do some more research before deciding what upper and other parts to buy.

For what it's worth, the weight difference is so tiny it's irrelevant for your purposes. I have shot semi carriers in carbine, mid-length and rifle-gas ARs and they've always worked fine.

In short, don't fret about reliability issues unless you are actually having them.

The Standard Bolt Carrier Group is normally just fine.

Just lube the upper and bolt carrier really well to help break in the parts, and you should be good to go.
