    Is this BCG complete?

So I got my BCM BCG a few days ago and haven't really messed with it, took it out of the bag day before yesterday and noticed that there's a small, sealed off reservoir at one end of the bag that the BCG came in. It's some type of O-Ring, and I'm assuming it's just a replacement, but I'd like to ask you guys if you could identify it and confirm for me that it's nothing I need to install before the BCG is ready for use.
    Thanks guys.

Well I can't see the bolt but since it is in there with the carrier and I can see a cam pin and a carrier key I am gonna say it is complete. The o-ring is a spare for the ejector.

take the bolt out so we can see if it's complete or not. but if you got it from bravo company it look should be complete. and yes the o-ring is for if you have ejection issues you can put it on to fix the problem.

BCM doesn't install the extractor o-ring in their BCGs as they believe their springs are sufficiently strong.

And another two. If you need more detailed or specific pictures, please specify.
Again, trying to figure out if the rubber o-ring is a replacement part or something I need to put in.

The o-ring is the one that is optional for around the extractor spring. It may be an extra, or they may have sent it along for you to install if you want to. The gun will function just fine without it, assuming that the regular spring is there. The o-ring just increases the tension on the extractor. This supposedly increases the reliability during rapid/auto fire, but I don't know if it actually makes a difference with semi-auto. Either way you go, it shouldn't make much difference.

Whether or not it's a MG isn't the issue. The reason you'd want stronger extraction is for short barrels/gas systems.

Yea, Paul started doing that when he heard that folks were selling private party claiming their stuff was BCM products (and not, with the buyer sending it to Paul for warranty work, only to be denied). He ate the cost for putting the logo on all the Bravo stuff.

                    Yup yup!

Just to add a bit more to your statement, Paul did in fact state that on the ar15.com industry forum.

Also because the o-ring may cause ejection issues on mid-lengths and rifles which don't have suficient bolt speed to create the centrifugal force necessary for the case to break the hold of the extractor when there's an o-ring installed.

O-rings are carbine and pistol gas system patches.
Rifles and mid-lengths should NOT use an o-ring on the extractor spring.
