Might be just dry. Give the whole upper a good rub down with some oil and see if that solves it.

It's not loaded... The round is inert... I knew someone would bust my balls for that one. I couldn't find my .308 Snap Cap, so I threw a 55 gr FMJBT into a casing (not primed) to take the pic.

Here is a very excellent review of the super sniper 3-9 from snipers hide,

if thats not your cup of tea, theres also the fixed 10x HD which is incredibly clear, but I feel the need for variable optics in a semi auto platform.

1200 is that tough mark. If u feel like u can pony up a a little more, u can get the nightforce variable 2.5-10x32, and even cheaper depending on wheter you want zero stop, mil/moa or mil/mil etc etc.
Nightforce pisses me off though because they have really strict MAP. Every dealer across the net will sell for nearly exact same prices due to nightforce policy.
Some dealers however will throw in more free stuff like rings, books, etc etc in order to provide a better bang for your buck.

Yea I didnt have the finish discoloring in the area you mentioned but in a different area by the gas block. ( i have the T model). Its really no big deal to me, as I plan on shooting the snot out ot he rifle, but armalite has pretty good customer service. if it came brand new like that, u should contact them.
Thanks for the advice! Geez it looks like I'll have to save up a bit more before I can afford some decent glass... It's a big jump from the SS at $700 to the Nightforce at $1600. Oh well, I guess I can use that time to improve my Iron Sight skill...

Very nice build Viras. I have one that is pretty close to yours. I am sure you will be pleased with it.
sigpicIf you loan someone twenty dollars and never see them again, it was probably worth it.
