I dont mean to thread jack, or be off topic, but maybe somebody can recommend some AR 10rd mag pouches/shingles? Even with a Magpul Ranger floorplate, or a CProducts Tactipul, installed on the 10rd mag, it looks like its still hard to get to, in a pouch/shingle designed for 30rd mags.

^the mag pouch i have on my chest rig is for .308/M1A style magazines. You can see how tall a 10/20 ar15 mag is in it. your best bet is to find some 10rd 20body magazines.

Condor makes good cheap stuff. but 5.11 tactical is nice as well. or if your frugel, like me, cheaper than dirt.com has tons of cheap molle gear.

I havent had much luck with blocked Magpul 10/20 mags, so now Im using CProducts 10rd mags, with Magpul followers and CProducts Tactipul floorplates.

I would love to have the money to buy the good stuff all the time, but thats never the case. Im currently looking at some of the clearance 5.11 stuff from LAPoliceGear. I'll give CheaperthanDirt a look. Was thinking of ordering some ammo anyways..

While looking into some options for 10 rounders I came across some grenade pouches that had measurements which would indicate that they would be perfect for fitting 10 rounders in...Unfortunately I cannot, for the life of me remember where exactly I saw these pouches. I'm pretty sure they were double grenade pouches if that helps.

That BCM one does look DAMN good...but its pricey? BTW what's the price range for a typical nonairsoft chest rig?
Actually it's not that pricey if you add up all the pieces. Try to assemble the same rig from individual TT pieces and it will cost a bit less, but not much, and it won't be as well integrated.

After thinking about it and spending some time doing the research, you're right. I never really needed a chest rig or vest setup before since I dont do any kind of run and gun stuff. I did not know how the market looked when it came down to these things. Might just get one for camping (I like the camelback system) and just use the magazine pouches portion to store the food or other stuff, etc. Eventually I'll use it the way it was meant to be when I want to shoot out of state or use a 22lr.
