...and my wallet hasn't.

Saiga SGL-21 Plum with 4x POSP scope
CMMG lower with BCM Rifle upper
Lancaster Arms AK-74 from Atlantic (with 10/30 magazine)
I purchased the AK's in early November, and finished the 20'' AR in August/September.
Saiga Review:
The saiga is a fantastic rifle, especially for the ~$500 price a few weeks ago. My only regret is that I don't have the cash to buy more of them.
My only complaint about the rifle is with the terrible trigger. It slaps hard, even when I'm wearing rappelling gloves. (I really like them for shooting gloves). The trigger has a long take-up and then breaks like a wooden stick. I've read that arsenal triggers take some breaking in, but I have 150+ rds through it, and the trigger has not improved in the slightest.
I was impressed with the rifle's accuracy after it's first range trip, so I ordered a 4x POSP scope. I really like the scope, but the warsaw length butt stock is a bit too short for the scope's eye relief. I think a butt pad would fix the stock length issue, so I'll probably order one and g2 trigger after Christmas.
Lancaster review:
Beautiful rifle, and Atlantic was very easy to deal with. This was my first 5.45 rifle, and I must say I love the caliber. I'm glad that I have been stashing 5.45 away for awhile now. While the rifle is accurate, it's begging me to do mag dumps. I really need to get a few 45 rd mag rebuild kits & go out of state
. If I took an AK class this is the rifle I would bring.
The only downsides to this rifle, and these are rather nit-picky:
-the charging handle is rather sharp. I'm going to have to polish it's edges.
-the mag latch is a bit wonky. I need to take the pistol grip & mag lock off to see if it's the latch or the magazines I have. I scraped some paint off one of the 10/30's I have, and it seemed to help.
-I need 10rd ak74 mags for the range. The 10/30's look cool, but are a bit of a pain when shooting from a bench.
I would buy another, or the lancaster rough rider, if I had the cash. Actually, I probably should be buying up more tins of ammo, as this is currently my favorite rifle to bring to the range.
I should add that I really enjoy using the 5.45 stripper clip system. If you have an ak74, I would highly recommend ordering some.
BCM Upper review:
Runs like a champ, and I like the larue sight. Other than possibly adding a red dot, this rifle is going to stay as-is. Glad I signed up for the email alert on this upper last spring.
