Ditto.
The Saiga-12 needs one, but the Sporters don't and it unnecessarily "cripples" the featureless to 10rd mags.
The unconverted Saiga has no provisions for any "evil features" without modification... no threaded barrel so you can't install a FH, and unless you swap the handguard, no way to mount a VFG or a grenade launcher... and to top it off, the design won't work with a converted x39/223 Saiga.- Rich

let's try this again..........
If you put a PG on a Saiga but do not move the trigger group or maybe use the Saiga thumbhole stock and not move the trigger group. That's when you'd use this.
I doubt anyone is going to use one on a featureless rifle. But, thanks for pointing that out!Last edited by kajvid; 12-13-2009, 11:05 AM.---------------------------------------

from the listing:
"This is a bullet button, Mag, clip release cover, for use in CA. on the Saiga 7.62, or 223 rifle. This requires no drilling or grinding. Simply installs with one screw. No returns. Be sure its what you want. Stalk Saiga rifles do not require a bullet button, only after a pistol grip is installed."Comment

Thanks for posting this, I'm sorry you're getting beat up for it. I know what it feels like. I'm curious about how it attaches. This is how we got as far as we have today, working around our stupid laws a little bit at a time. It looks to me like it might work on a Saiga rifle conversion when you reuse and relocate the trigger guard. Competition helps to keep prices down.
Is the front of the rear of the mag release "frame" open? If it's the rear, then I think the TG may even fit between the rear of the frame.- Rich
