Son & Dad Setup.

Was wondering what the community thought about my dad & son setup. Both are bullet buttoned. Son's rifle has EOtech reddot. Mine is light, fast, and fun.

Think I have enough ammo? Just got 5000rds at the gun show. Along with a new CGN lower. Can't wait. What do you guys think would be fun to do with my son (16 yo) and his new black rifle?

You and your son should do an "Appleseed" event, run by the Civilian Marksmanship Program:

Contact your local range/s and see which ones have either 3-gun or tactical rifle events, or both, for you and your son to sign up for.

I thought I saw some other members that live in the L.A. area, that go out to various BLM (Bureau of Land Management) areas to go shoot at, as well.

if you and your son haven't gotten out and did some mag dumps go out to some blm and have some fun. you both will have a grin from ear to ear just wasting some ammo. I say blm because all ranges in sf bay area that i know of have a rapid fire rule meaning 1 round every few seconds.

nice setups. My first son/dad setup was a pair of Howa bolt actions. We had and excellent time going to the range and shooting
