    Trigger blocking folder on AK?

How about a side folding stock for the AK-47 that when folded, would block the trigger group with a sheetmetal shroud, not allowing the gun to be fired... Then, with no pistol grip you could fold the stock for storage behind your truck seat, or whatever...

    Think that would fly?

But wouldn't you be able to shot it when the stock was halfway closed sticking out at a 90* angle?

To make something like this work I assume you could have an internal locking device that when the stock moves out of the locked rear postition the trigger would not work. I don't own an AK, but maybe you could go throught the rear of the receiver.

Yah I suppose you still could fire it that way...

Hrm, maybe a big hinge on the side so the whole back of the receiver swings over

      I kid I kid.

OK well thats why I post ideas, I like to work 'em out in my head first.

      Thanks

        HMMMMMM.

What about fabricating a piece of metal that would attach to the stock, so when it folds, it would insert into the trigger housing to block the trigger from being pulled?

Actually, this would be EASY for you to do, assuming you're modifying one of the Romanian side folders. Just drill a hole through the center of the stock area, and have a metal device that'll push a piece of metal through that blocks the trigger from the rear UNLESS the stock is in place, depressing the button.

          Pretty easy...

Hey, if it flies with the kel-tec it most certainly will with this.
