    Eva's back!

No, not Eva Osterberg my first girlfriend back on Long Island.
    Eva-Lution --
my Volquartsen Evolution which came to me months ago looking like this and having trouble with certain brand AR magazines --

Now she is back with (supposedly) more reliability with more mags (Hopefully I'll find out tomorrow morning at Angeles) and my request to "Tacticool it up" resulted in them carbon fiber coating the stock --

    I believe a successful tacticizing --

Now to see about those "1/8 inch at 75 yards" claims...

Wish I knew. Volquartsen did it. They liked it so much they're going to start offering it. I would have accepted just painting the laminate stock, but this is way cooler. And I took a header today and augured the rifle and myself onto my office floor just before I mounted this scope and I figured the finish on the stock would be toast but nary a scratch.

BTW -- why are ANY of us on the site when the Macy's parade and I guess sports pre-game shows are on? Do we just love GUNS more than other things?

I like it too -- but for magazine photography, it was too "varmint rifle" and not enough "short range tactical" which is seemingly all that anyone wants to read about.

                          That stock is smokin.
The Model 610 was classified as the XM177[3] but adopted by the Air Force as the GAU-5/A Submachine Gun (GAU = Gun, Aircraft, Unit.) The Army purchased 2,815 Model 609 CAR-15 Commandos on June 28, 1966, which were officially designated Submachine Gun, 5.56 mm, XM177E1. - Wikipedia
