They had stacks of repair guns with no names or paperwork... it wasn't helping the police that got them into trouble it was their own bad house keeping.

Sooo, for all you FFL's out there, when the cops come begging for bigger guns to thwart some bad guys, make them pay, do DROS, and 10 day wait, etc....Don't get popped for incomplete paperwork.....
Jester that is not true. Bob Kahn the owner of B&B closed the store's and sold the property for many reasons.

I bought my first .45 from B&E in Cypress. I was told they were shut down as the son of the owner was selling guns out the back door. He was caught and all licenses were pulled. Not sure of the validity but they were a touch shady. I didn't need the help on my BSFA course - but when opened the booklet all answers were already correctly marked.

            God, I miss B&B.

I have a pretty neat 40 minute audio recording of the radio traffic from the North Hollywood Shootout and B&B is referenced several times.

B&B had the best selection, newest stuff and best prices of anyone in So. Cal. Had to take a number and wait to be called it was so busy.

                  your right.
B&B Wholesale(part of B&B Group, Inc) disolved for many many reasons. If you recall, a few years back, antigun and leftist orgs brought many lawsuits against the gun industry and manufactuers in many guises to shut them down. For ref, look up Poeple vs. Arcadia Machine Tool(AMT). The lawsuit inplicated the industry, manufactuers and distrubutors. B&B as well as Turners(owned by Andrews Sporting Goods at the time) were under preasure and had sought legal representation. Both testified during the People vs. AMT case. The lawsuit cited in previous post was one of the tactics to shut down gun stores. Another tactic the left used was to link crime stastics with the companies that mfg, distribute and sold the firearms. If I remember correctly, B&B was listed in the top 10.

Second, Bob Kahn got in trouble for class 3 violations. According to Dean Speir, he was convicted and spent a few years in jail.

Lastly, B&B Group, Inc dissolved when the partners decided it was time to fold, after the lawsuits, unfavorable atmosphere and the incident with Bob Kahn.

As for the 3 Bushmasters, a preban Colt and a shotgun that LAPD took during the N.H. bank robbery, they were auctioned off dring a Soldier of Fortune convention. The proceeds went to law enforcement charities.

The video of Phillips going down is quite interesting. He has his arm outstretched with pistol in hand to shoot at officers when he goes limp and collapses to the ground. He didn't shoot himself to cause this collapse. A pistol shot from one of two officers did. Watch the video. He probably did do the fatal shot.

Yes, after he's on the ground.
I watched it live too, switching channels. Later in the replays, they stopped showing the fatal shot that collapses Phillips. Soft media.

Aahh, B&B Westminster! That store was basically a huge cinder block cube full of firearms and accessories. I was shocked when I first walked through the door and saw the inventory. I was always used to the small mom & pop shops like Saddleback Valley Gun Center (good old George), this place (B&B) was like a Costco for firearms! They had everything you could think of. Got the best deal on an HK USP there, the staff was pretty helpful too.
