Just curious, why don't more people own the Robarm XCR?

Ive looked into the robinson xcr. I wish I would have gotten one instead of my two ARs but its too late now just have to save up and get an xcr later.

Like the other posters have said, there was an M96 issue with quality, and support. IIRC there was also a .308 Vepr issue about accuracy that reared it's head in at some point because ROBARM was the Importer.
After reading through the whole debacle I will make a greater effort to support Robinson Arms.

He clearly supports the second amendment. He may have misplaced his trust in Mitt, but I suspect it had more to do with Mitt being LDS than anything else.

I too had high hopes for Romney, but in the end we all got screwed and ended up with Obama.

I've butted heads with some of the maniacs on one of the sites this where this whole thing started. I don't think this ridiculous battle over politics is any reason to void buying what I hear is a wonderful weapon.

This. I have a carbine AR that does the same thing as the XCR for ~50% of the cost. I've played around with an XCR at a gun show and I did like the feel of it, but I don't have a use for it. Not worth the money unless you don't already own a carbine and are looking to fork over that much cash for one.

Looks like a nice rifle, but for that price, I could get an AR-15, AK-47 and lots of ammo.

I think it is not a very good looking rifle. IMHO.

Why am I not interested in one? Because it's made by Robarms, that's why. I almost bought one of the original M96's, but the years that followed and their non-existant support and vaporware options....nah, never could trust them again.

Then again, I still won't buy a new Ruger either, LOL.
                        Yeah.

                        I'm pissed.
WTB: Rhodesian A5 FN 12G Shotgun...ah, never mind. Prices have become stupid...
WTB: FN FS2000..don't care anymore about this one either.

I think its people bashing the firearm because of Robinson's old reputation. Now, however, they are a solid company with a kick arse firearm.

Like the user/post above me, they are reluctant to give them a second chance. I on the other hand did and am pleased with the rifle, especially since it has never failed me.

ETA: And you have to really give them credit for wanting to deal one on one with the California market, not a lot of companies are willing to do that.

From what I've seen... they are really heavy and cost a lot. With AR's they are very easy to customize, light, and you can build them piece by piece. This makes it easy for any average guy not making a ton of $ to build an awesome AR rifle for $2,000+ one piece at a time and spread the cost out as long as needed. With the xcr you have a large initial cost which keeps it out of the hands of many.
