    First AR-15 Help

I recently looked at an AR15 in a local shop (SWM&P) and think I'm in love. Thinking about selling my current firearms to buy one.
Problem is, I know little to nothing about AR-15's. I could do the research myself but with such a great resource as Calguns I was hoping for some help.
What is a good starter AR15 (1k range) for a guy who wants to keep it simple? Where are the best deals? There is so much information on these guns I feel lost.
Thank you for the help guys.

Daniel Defense makes a real solid rifle, I have had mine for 6 months now(over2k rounds fired) I ran a patch down the barrel and fired 500 rounds of wolf on the first day...no problems.

I have skipped cleaning between range trips and it has never had a single issue. I bought it at Riflegear(good people)

Hey, that looks really good. Has anyone bought this rifle from peach state? After shipping and FFL what was your total? How about from Riflegear? Hey Jicko how did you get that rebate?

It looks like all you have to do is send a copy of your 4473 to Daniel Defense and they automatically give you the gift card to their site.

I'm interested in peach state as well. I'm going to email them and hopefully it will be good news

Both are good mid-range ARs. Enjoy either purchase.

DD makes very good ARs. S&W's are decent. If warranty means anything to you, neither of these companies offer a lifetime warranty.

Here's the reply I got from Adam:

I can ship direct to your FFL dealer ready to go, I have mag locks on order as I ran out last week but they ahould be here Monday or Tuesday.
                        and...

There is a fee not sure what it iss though if you chose cali option it will automatically charge you the fee and we will swap out the mags.
                        Adam
                        cool!

If cost is an issue buy a lower and build it your self. my first AR came in just under $800.00 including BB and 10/30 p mag.
