From what I heard, the burris fastfire that it came with was finicky when it went to dark to lite areas. I'm surprised they stopped offering it on their website, it was there a couple of months ago.Hartzler v. City of San Jose.

If you go for a side mount the only ones I'd recommend are VOMZ Russian made. I have one on my PSL and it's great. The Belarus ones are junk.
IIRC if you search around there are a couple manufacturers that make weaver rails which replace the rear AK sight as well (which sounds like what you are looking for).Comment
