Lefty

i do most tasks with my right hand, including shooting pistols but when it comes to shooting pool, bows and arrows and apparently rifles, i am a south paw.

i've noticed that there are a few lefty uppers available, but not nearly the same selection. do i really need to get a lefty upper or can i make do with an upper designed for right handers?

any input would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

regualur uppers are just fine for lefties. The only thing I do like to as is the ambi-safety selector switch. Other then that standard righty model is just fine. You might get a tad more blowback/smoke too.....but I don't notice it really.

sweet. i just wanted to make sure i had choices. but i guess now with a lot of choices, my decision making process gets harder.

Don't sweat it. I'm a left handed shooter and never had a problem.

doodoostain, Im in the same boat with you, the only upper that comes close to ejecting brass too close to my face is my dpms 308 upper without a shell deflector. As long as I have a brass catcher on, brass wont smack my face. All my other rifles are right handed and not a problem!

btw, thanks for the input guys. now i just gotta pull the trigger and get started already. so far i'm liking the looks of the mega lowers but it'd be kinda cool to have one of the calguns lowers too. decisions decisions.

Lefty Shooters

I shoot Lefty also. All my rifles are righty, I have no problems shooting them left-handed. Save your money buy a righty.
