    howa axiom questions

    I am looking for a good first target rifle in the price range of 650 to 850. I'm not to concerned with brands just want the most accurate target rifle i can get in that price range . I am pretty tall with long arms so some of the shorter rifles are not so comfortable to shoot but i can get sued to shooting anything { I am a pretty good shot with my sons cricket 22 lol}

    i have seen the howa axiom rifles online and they seems to have a lot of good features but are they legal with having a pistol grip and detachable magazine ?

    the calibers i am looking at are .243 22-250 223 and 204 ruger whats the best caliber for general target shooting ? i have larger caliber rifles already for hunting so trying to keep it a smaller fun to shoot cal

    so what does everyone think is the best rifle/caliber combo in the price range of $650 to $850 for general at the range target shooting .

        Howa is a very solid company that makes the rifles for Weatherby and used to make the S&W bolt actions. They offer great value packages with scope, KNOXX stocks, etc.
        I'd get a 223 Axium/Knoxx Varminter for ammo availability.

        Link to specs:

        MRSRP $800 with a 24 inch heavy fluted barrel, or $559 with a Hogue stock and 20 inch Heavy Barrel
