    HK MR556 & MR762 Delayed

    From HK's web site

I'm bummed about the delay, but glad they're working to make it right.

    Pass.

The MR556 will be produced at Heckler & Koch's new manufacturing facility at Newington, New Hampshire from American and German made components. To conform to German export regulations, certain design changes made in the MR556 prevents the rifle's upper receiver from being used on other AR-style firearms.

Sigh.... the silver lining is I can save more to get one, I suppose....

Not happy as the EU have been getting theirs for a while.

Too bad our import laws are so stupid, and then we have to neuter it again for here. No all German 416's or 417's for us. So sad.
              Seriously missing the 80's.....

No desire. I'll stick with our own American Piston units, just as reliable if not more.

I have many "American" pistols and rifles, and several HK as well. NOTHING is as reliable as my HK pistol (HK45) or rifle (HK93)

This is the last rifle I'm interested in.

It's not even AR compatible. What a crock.

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Overrated and over priced! If they really want my attention they should import a semi HK-21, MP-7, or a G-36 at a reasonable price. We can improve an AR better than any German. We can also build a G3just as well (PTR-91).

I dont get why people bring this up when they talk about these guns. WHY is this an issue, this is a high end rifle, would any of you buy a colt or noveske complete gun, and then separate it and put it on a different lower? Thats like saying your not going to buy a SCAR because its not AR compatible. EVEN IF it was AR compatible would you swap lowers? lol an odd reason not to buy a gun.

With the current issues being experienced with the 416 after prolonged and hard field use, HK needs to refine their system.
