varmint loads in a 308 semiauto

Anybody running lighter grain ammo in their 308 autoloader?
Any cycling problems or other issues?
Thinking specifically about the saiga 308

    Thanks!

I don't own a Saiga, but I suspect that if you went no lighter than 125 grain slugs the action would cycle - I doubt that the "accelerator" saboted stuff would cycle though.
The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

You'll probably just have to try and see. Use a mod-slow powder and lots of it to keep port pressure up. I run/ran reduced loads with cast bullets through my Garand and M14. They function 100% in both rifles.

      Do you reload?

I don't reload anymore but i do have an old set of dies in 308 still attached to a dillon 550 plate
it's the only thing I have left of my reloading equipment
guess I could buy a cheap press and get going again if the wife doesn't see it

        thanks
