heat it up, like really heat it up. use a torch or lighter (safely) if you have to. once it is really heated up, it will get soft.Comment

yeah, gotta heat the bejeezus out of it, in a vise. if you use a strap wrench on the barrel, you should save the scars of a standard wrench....Comment

Take the rifle out and rapid fire 30 rounds or so to heat up the barrel. This should soften the loctite. J/K. It takes heat and a lot of it to soften red loctite. Usually 400 degrees F or so should do it. Other methods I've heard of but have not verified are WD-40 and also adding a drop or two of red loctite again and letting it wick in to soften the stuff that's already hardened. The 2nd option would suck if it didn't work since it adds more loctite to the problem.Comment

Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man.

Going after it with a torch should soften up the loctite. I made myself a barrel block that fits in my bench vise, I'm guessing that and piggybacking a couple of wrenches should do the trick. How much loctite did you use? Normally a little goes a long ways. Someone around you has to have a barrel block for a vise, where are you?Originally posted by Daytripper63"Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican truck.
