    DPMS legal in ca?

    Hello every one,

I get questions for my AR, I like to purchase 16" AR-15 complete upper for my new toy from internet.
    1. The DPMS .223 legal in CA?
    2. When i purchase from online (complete upper), do I need FFL transfer for me? Or it will ship direct to my door?

Thanks every one read my post and answer the questions. and you have a wonderful day.

DPMS uppers are legal in CA. A DPMS panther lower would be illegal since it is listed on Appendix B. Upper receivers can be sent directly to your door.

Only the upper assemblies are OK. The lower assemblies are listed items and possession of such without them being a RAW is illegal.

Upper is fine though. I have 2.

Lowers = firearm (therefore subject to Banned list, and needs to be transfered to firearms dealer)

Upper = parts (therefore not subject to banned list and may be shipped to your front door)
ban death cars! they are designed to cause accidents that kill as many people as possible.

DPMS AR-15 lower receivers were banned. But everything except the lower receivers are considered as parts. It's legal to buy just upper halves, no matter it is made by DPMS or Colt.

There are pre-panther DPMS lower receivers that you can buy. The banned list is, "DPMS Panther - All", so if the lower has a panther stamped or head of a panther on it then it's illegal.

Uppers come directly to the house, just like ammo, and I think my UPS driver is starting to get really annoyed with me.

LOL! I remember back in the days I shot USPSA religiously I used to order brass, bullets, primers and powder by the bulk. The macho UPS guy that always complained about the weights I buy, which are 4000 bulk Montana gold bullets.
