I want to store an AR-15 complete lower minus the Bullet Button attached. I was wondering if I separate my lower from my upper and remove the magazine release parts making the lower incapable of accepting a magazine..Is this still in compliance since it cannot accept any detachable magazine or is a fixed configuration the only acceptable way to go? I understand I can store it with the bullet button but I would like to address this scenario. I want to store the rifle without a magazine attached

the second you start building the lower, you should lock the magazine asap. this would prevent you from going to jail.I am offically a gun nut!!!!! -
Just remove the pistol grip. I did a ppt on a lower minus the bullet button, magazine, & pistol grip. All other internals were intact. The ffl accepted the transfer, no questions asked, so I'm assuming this configuration should put your mind at ease.Originally posted by Colonel David Crockett"Ya'll can go to hell, I'm goin' to Texas!"

Correction: "The ffl accepted the transfer, no questions asked..." About the configuration. I still had to answer all the questions on the DROS paperwork.
I didn't mean to confuse anyone.Originally posted by Colonel David Crockett"Ya'll can go to hell, I'm goin' to Texas!"
