    Lower Question

I want to store an AR-15 complete lower minus the Bullet Button attached. I was wondering if I separate my lower from my upper and remove the magazine release parts making the lower incapable of accepting a magazine..Is this still in compliance since it cannot accept any detachable magazine or is a fixed configuration the only acceptable way to go? I understand I can store it with the bullet button but I would like to address this scenario. I want to store the rifle without a magazine attached

the second you start building the lower, you should lock the magazine asap. this would prevent you from going to jail.

Just remove the pistol grip. I did a ppt on a lower minus the bullet button, magazine, & pistol grip. All other internals were intact. The ffl accepted the transfer, no questions asked, so I'm assuming this configuration should put your mind at ease.

Correction: "The ffl accepted the transfer, no questions asked..." About the configuration. I still had to answer all the questions on the DROS paperwork.
I didn't mean to confuse anyone.
