    Optic question?????

Ok, if this has been covered please forgive me.

I am looking for a tactical and practical option. I like the ACOG type but not the cost.....

Something that is a red dot with quick sight picture as well as something for the range. More tactical though.

    Bushnell Trophy 1*32mm MP

    NCstar

    Barska AR15 red dot.....

    Thoughts?

    I have a budget of about $150

Agreed. I will be getting a carry handle but want an optic for the option.

if it were up to me, i would just shoot irons until i could save up for the optic i reeeeally want. if thats the acog, then youre gonna be awesome with irons. i have an aimpoint ml2, and i still prefer irons. attribute it to my classical upbringing, but its the truth. someday, im gonna try out the acog. until then, ill use the aimpoint for some fun, but when i actually want to hit a target at range, i rely on the irons..

I had a bushnell trophy. It was bulky and the reticle was blurry.

Trijicon Accupoint 1.1-4x -- that is the inch tube they stopped making this year and you can find a cheap one.

I would save your money for a good quality optic. Run your irons for a while, become proficient and then buy an aimpoint/eotech/trijicon/whatever.

BUT if you absolutely need to buy something, get either the Primary Arms M3 style or the Vortex Strikefire. they are both sub $150.

I'm really happy with my Millet DMS-1. Don't like the weight but it works great at both close and long ranges. Its $200 though.
