Well.......If you want the truth.......Its a crap scope. I would not put it on a pellet gun over $50. Save a few bucks and pick up a bushnell if you want a low end scope for a rifle. What do you plan on shooting?"Calling an illegal alien a "undocumented worker" is like calling the drug dealer hanging around outside your kid's school an "unlicensed pharmacist." -
Yes the older ones were better made but there are so many other better scopes that will have better glass and knobs/turrets. The Bushnell Elite is a great scope for the money. Glass is nice and the word is they are built well.Originally posted by mr2.0Wow!!! I thought it would have been decent since it made in States, long before the Chinese had their hand on it. I was gonna put it on my SKS.
As far as that Weaver scope, hell for $20 you might as well buy it. Who knows it may be a gem."Calling an illegal alien a "undocumented worker" is like calling the drug dealer hanging around outside your kid's school an "unlicensed pharmacist."Comment

Scopes have come a long way and I don't think any of the older scopes really stack up well against the current better offerings. Having said that I do have older rifles - Rem 721 in 300 H & H, a 1928 NRA Springfield Sporter - that wear older steel Weavers in order to be period correct. The Weavers are a good brand and I've bought them only in excellent shape, but the optics don't look nearly as sharp as do new scopes.
Unless there were some specific reason for going with an older scope I'd buy a newly manufactured one, whether that's Weaver, Bushnell, Leupold, etc.GOA Member & SAF Life MemberComment
