Yes, an M1 Carbine has no "assault rifle evil features", so is a featureless rifle. A featureless rifle with high cap magazine is legal in CA.

Legal yes, but since you have a Universal (known for being a P.O.S.), I doubt you actually CAN use them.

sort of........ if it is a earlier Universal.. then you'll be ok.. if it is a later model with the aluminum trigger housing..2 recoil spring, model.. then can I have your stereo if you shoot the Universal?
