    ak 47 quad rail

What is a good quad rail for an ak 47? How difficult is a rail to install compared to an AR?
    Are any special tools required?

I just posted a review of the Midwest Industries AK handguard here: http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=228209

It is very easy to install. Usually the biggest problem is removing the original furniture from an AK.

You really need a Quad? How about just an Ultimak gas tube replacement?

Check here and here. Some AK's can be VERY difficult, so get inventive (and usually just break out a hammer.) One hint for removing the furniture from the gas tube: Hold the square end in a pair of vise grips (or a vice) and wrap your other hand in a towel and use that to twist off the wood piece.

            Good luck!

ultimak works great. they sell it in two separate pieces, one tri rail for the bottom, and a gas tube rail for the top. if you plan on using a red dot, ultimak will still allow you to use your iron sights with some red dots and low profile mounts

UTG rail works. The Polish use them.

I was half expecting a "screen doors on a submarine" situation after that line... but I guess the Polish actually DO use the UTG rail...

First you are chopping up historic vintage rifles and sticking them in cheap and nasty looking plastic "dildo" stocks that look like some kind of futuristic sex toy that gay space aliens stick up each other's butts.

Not sure if they're using the Beryl commando there just seen pics of the standard beryl. Only seen the beryl commando with the UTG accessories.

The standard beryl usually has a lower hand guard with grip or a tri rail lower if not standard.

Found some pics with romanian lower hand guards on the standard one..

where can I find a wooden hand guard with a pistol grip like that? I know there everywhere but I have yet to find one using google. Also I found the lever I think? For removing the lower hand guard but I see no possible way to move it up. I will post pictures later.

I'm sure if you put up a WTB ad on this site you would get some responses from people wanting to sell theirs. I'm not sure what country (or countries) use those, but they are affectionately referred to as "donkey dong" AK handguards.

If you see a little lever on the right side of the barrel (looking down it in shooting position) that is burried below the the lower handguard, then yep, you found it! Just shove a screwdriver down there and push it up!
