    AK help

So, I've got a chance to have a Norinco 86S demilled and the parts set to me from out of state. I seem to recall something about Noricos not being able to be assembled on NDS receivers but, I'm not sure. So, my questions are: Will Norico parts fit on a NDS? And, if so, which receiver(s) will work?

The trunnion on the Norinco is .023 thinner than the Euro AK's. You will need to use a receiver made from .063 (1.6mm) or use shims to make up the difference. Also the front and rear trunnion holes are different. Other than that it builds the same.

      Thaks for the quick response!

So, can I find a receiver anywhere? I would need it to be a transferable receiver and not a flat build.

Maybe he gave me the wrong model number. I really doubt it's a bullpup. Anyway, what kind of receiver could I use?

What caliber? Type 56S is 7.62x39. Type 84 is .223. I think he combined the numbers.

A 1.6mm? Green Valley receivers, I think. Be aware that the Norinco's had only 1 rivet per side for their trigger guards.

Or locate a NOS Global Trades AUSA 1.6mm receiver.
