Building AR from different makes/models

Is it good, by design or by conforming to the law (or confusing the law which is always fun), to build your ARs out of different make/models... say a RA-15 lower and a stag arms upper?

Or should you just stick with a make/model, and, say, make an entirely Stag Arms rifle?

Use the search funciton and be prepared for lots of reading. Its like the Ford vs. Chevy vs. Dodge debate.

Quality or brand name. Most lowers are of the same quality. At least for your average person who just use it as a range toy.

You can't go wrong with Stag, CMMG, ect. for a first/basic AR.

You pay premium for better machining and finish on lowers. Then again it's the only part you have to pay $65-75 fee for if you need / want to replace it.

Thats why I'm waiting for the perfect 308 lower before I bite.

AR15s are made for mixing and matching. Its total FUD that you cant or shouldnt do this. There is no way NOT to do this in some cases.

If the parts are truly Mil-spec, then add any part you want from any maker.

Go buy reliable manufacturers: Bushmaster (pending), Rock River Arms, Lauer, DPMS, Double Star, Spikes, etc. The world is yours.

Build it and be done with it.
