    Bullet button/wonder wrench

If I had a ar15 with a bullet button and a magpul grip with storage in it, would having the wonder wench in the grip make my gun assault*weapon? The wonder wrench is a tool to release the mag and it's attached to the gun or is it not consider attached? Just like a bullet too is used to release a mag and it's in the gun or attached?
If guns commit crimes then mine are defective.

Your fine.... Just don't leave it in the mag release when in state or w/o a rimfire upper

good question. i heard that attaching your raddlock tool to your AK's trigger guard via the wrist loop the tool comes with is not okay. if that is so, then why is it fine to store your wonder wrench in the grip of your AR? the prinicple is the same... a tool is attached to your rifle isn't it?

well its good cause its in a storage unit and not attached where you can swing the tool to release the mag even then to me that gray i still think you should be ok but thats one of the questions that will always be debatable and to stay safe i dont habg the radd lock tool on my trigger guard except in storage in my safe

Can you use the raddlock tool with it attached to the trigger guard? You certainly can't use the wonder wrench with it inside the grip. That's definitely not the same principle. A bullet is a tool, having it in the magazine or chamber is attached to the rifle, can't use it to drop a magazine like that though.

No, because while its Stored in the grip, the "tool" cannot be used, but it can be used if its Attached to the lower.

By attaching it to the rifle it becomes part of the rifle, so No.

Well personally I like to dis assemble my BA and use my firing pin as my tool everytime I load a mag. This is a dumb debate guys. A tool is a tool no matter where its at on the rifle. So long as it requires that tool to release the mag and the mag lock returns to a locked state after the tool is used its fine. If this wasn't true it wouldn't be ok to store extra rounds in the grip core of my MIAD.

good point. i always store my wonder wrenches in my grips, so i'm glad there's clarification on that.

I know this is resolved, but to add to the thought process some people use it to store 3 rounds of ammo in this area... a round is considered a tool as well
