How much does bedding a remington 700 usually cost? Does anyone know who offers this service in the bay? Is it necessary to bed a new rifle?

Apples and oranges here. I personally love the AICS stock, but others hate it. The benefit of the AICS is that it does not need to be bedded. If going the McMillan route, the M40/HTG is more of your "traditional" stock, the A series is a great series but you need to match the stock to your preferences.Comment
