    Can anybody do me a favor in Oceanside???

    I just received a Magpul enhanced trigger guard from the mailman. I dont own any punches or even a hammer for that matter. Anybody around my area willing to help a fellow Calgunner out in installing it for me? I'll throw in a 6 pack for your time Anybody??

      I am in Mission Valley, so no help to you. But I would recommend taking a pair of vice grips, wrapping the teeth in tape (masking is fine or use duct). Then simply do 1 turn increments clamping down on the vice grips and it will eventually go in to where it's nearly flush. At that point is where I use a punch to drive it slightly recessed under the lower receiver. I would also coat the pin in a bit of CLP or your favorite oil before doing this, it will go in easier. GL.

      Surprising you don't even own a hammer. Okay, I won't push this subject

                  That would be my last resort. I've read too many horror stories when installing the ETG and I'm as impatient and stubborn as it gets when I cant do something right the first time. I'd rather not risk breaking off an ear and just find somebody locally that can easily readily do it. I know I can do it but...

                      +1 on the vise grips- really easy. If you are worried about damage- wrap them in tape and get the tip covers for the vise grips at sears- they work excellently.

                                  Harbor freight is right behind Office Depot off of Mission by the high school. It is a big HF and prices are very good.
