we just did a saiga 762 conversion last tuesday with all the compliant parts and i would like to offer my services for a nominal fee to all calgunners who is looking for one in socal. my question is , is this totally legal ? only ftf of course. just dont want to get in trouble . i know there is a couple of members out here looking for a saiga conversion.

if it is a free service you are offering to buddies, no problem. If you are making even a penny in the process, you will need to become a legit business. LA county is not very friendly to small operations like this. they want to treat you like a real business and have you pay accordingly. That's of course they know about what you are doing. Since you are announcing you intentions on a public forum, I am guessing they will.

I just did my conversion a few weeks ago. The only real tool that you need is a Dremel. It was remarkably easy to restore it to its intended configuration.
