    Featureless build

I was thinking today on a featureless build you are *NOT* allowed any evil features right such as foward grip but would the ergo hand stop be consider a foward grip?

Well...I would not use the Ergo. But not because I think you can't.

I think its too large and would be out of my personal comfort zone. Others my be different. It would take a court case to see if it were an evil feature.

I think the Ergo could potentially be held like a VFG....by someone with small hands. Thats all it would take.

Would you shoot a pistol if those were the grips?

I think he meant as the pistol grip of a pistol....the reaction would be..."hows that possible?"....and that would be making the point that they are not pistol not pistol grips....

I still would not use the Ergo personally

not to argue the point but really neither is a VFG it was never consider evil only if its a pistol grip style but Vertical Grip in general weather its a broom stick style or pistol grip style or the ones that are a horizontal style grip like the CAA one and Tech I would get a KAC if i knew where to find one

I have a tango down cut to the last rib. Its really nice but I have it on my bullet button rifle. I can get 1-2 fingers on it so this was something I was also kicking around. As far as a handstop goes the cut tango has a good feel to it.

You'd be very hard pressed to actually hold a rifle with one hand using only the KAC handstop as some sort of "grip." Not sure I could say the same thing about the Ergo version (but I only have the KAC).

Ergo one finger only but like it was pointed out to make a very very good point is if a pistol had a grip similar would you shoot it?

Can you hold the rifle with one hand using only the Ergo handstop? If you can't, I wouldn't worry about it meeting the forward pistol grip definition.

Whether I'm crazy enough to shoot something is not a good litmus test.
