Anyone have an AR in .45acp

After seeing a bunch of 9mm AR's, I was just wondering if anyone makes one that will shoot .45? If so, what does the conversion kit cost roughly?

    thanks,

        Here's the best one:

The way some gunshop clerks spout off, you'd think that they invented gunpowder and the repeating rifle, and sat on the Supreme Court as well.

Don't forget about the HK USC .45. Shot one with an Eotech and it was as smooth as silk.

I picked up a used Olympic upper & mag a couple of months ago but still have not had a chance to to set it up yet. It's pretty much like their 9mm upper with coil spring ejector and modified uzi (?) magazine with welded magwell adapter. I'll have to go shoot it to see how it cycles and how accurate it is.

Man, I was thinking of selling off my last CMMG lower that has been lingering in my safe forever. Now I know why I held onto it for so long. A 10MM AR?????? Another dream come true for me!!!

Is it physically possible for any carbine in .45ACP to hold 1 MOA at 100 yards? Very impressive, if true... It just doesn't seem like the round is capable of it. But I could be wrong.

I like the idea though... Someday soon I will have a carbine in .45, either something like this, or one of those Mec-Tech CCU (carbine conversion unit) deals.

Mech-Tech.... wouldn't you need to install some sort of mag lock to make it legal? With the addition of a stock, wouldn't it be considered a rifle?

Yes, you'd need a mag lock of some kind, to stay legal.

I've already got something in mind that would work, and could be fabricated easily/cheaply. It would mount to the 1911 frame using the existing left-side grip screws. Just need to make a prototype.
