worried about firing pin marks on shells.

Loaded a round to shoot today then un loaded to go set back up a target, noticed light firing pin indentation on primer loaded a couple more and this is happening on every round, I was using remington UMC 55 grain .223 this is on a bushmaster M4A3 upper its making me wworried about slam fires. Any idea what can be causing this or what I should do?

ARs and SKS type rifles use a floating firing pin. Normal. Spring loaded fps do not as a rule produce primer dents.
The thing with firearms is that they are not like any other consumer product, simple ownership of one carries a lot of responsibility.

Some idiots are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

the one rifle that goes against the rule is the HK series rifles.. even with the real stiff firing pin spring.. primers still get dented due to the extremely violent forward movement of the carrier

If a primer does'nt get dented when hit by the firing pin, how will the the cartridge fire? is'nt the denting of primers the cause of igniting the powder inside the shell?

They are refering to when the action cycles, not when the trigger is pulled.

Yep it is the AR15 firing pin. If it isn't contacting your primers you have a problem.

When the firing pin is traveling at the necessary speed yes. The bolt moving forward isn't enough to cause a slam fire. A round has to go off to cause a slam fire and that round can only go off when the firing pin is traveling at the necessary speed. Slamfires are almost non-existant with ARs.
