    Need Advice Is this legal?

I saw this and was wondering if this is legal here in Kalifornia.
Remington 742 woodsmaster 30-06 with pistol grip and folding stock.

Looked cool wondering if i could buy it or not.

    Thanks

It doesn't look like it has a detachable magazine (it's tubular, I suppose?) so I think you're good to go! ...but someone far more knowledgeable than me will be along shortly...

ETA: 30-06 with THAT stock and THAT pistol grip = YIKES!! Good luck to ya!

What is the overall length with that stock folded? It must still be at least 30"

I'm not sure how the magazine is reloaded on that rifle, but it needs to qualify as a fixed magazine of 10 or less rounds.

Other than that I don't see why not.

OK, so it appears to be a semi-automatic, centerfire rifle that has features (PG and folding stock). [note: If it's not semi or centerfire, things change (for the better).]

This means it can't have a detachable magazine. It appears to be a fixed tubular, so it's not detachable.

It also can't be under 30" (instead of 26") with the stock collapsed or folded. I don't know how to measure it without handling. If it's too short folded you could fix the stock.

The rifle appears to be a Remington 742, a semi auto with a detachable magazine. If so it is illegibly configured and is an assault weapon.

not much different that doing the same thing to a Mini-14.

but really though, just looking at that thing, you wonder...why?

Try finding a magazine which holds more than 10 rounds for that Remington? USA Clips used to make them about 20 years ago. Twenty, thirty and forty round mags for a Mini-14 exist and they.ve got you with an AW cold turkey...

Oh, oh, can I say it, please? I never get to say it!

                              CHECK THE FLOW CHART.

The gun has EVIL FEATURES. Put a regular rifle buttstock on it and you're fine.
