If you want good cans, buy normal ammo cans, sand them down and then paint them ani-rust enamel. I ordered a bunch of cans from cheaper than dirt and did this. They showed up with some pretty gnarly rust spots on them. I sanded the cans and took wire brush to the bas spots to get rid of all the rust. I then sprayerd them with enamel and no rust has appeared since. If you're looking to bury your ammo, you could do this same process, aput some silica packs in each can, and then thoroughly wrap them in plastic before you bury them. Make sure the cans have the rubber o-ring so they are water tight. even though they have the outer plastic layers. Water can get into just about anything. I would recommend digging the cans up every year or so and checking the conditions of the plastic and ammo cans.
