My Class III guy had one of those with a 10.5" tube... After handling it I am sure that a full house load from it would have you willing to club a grizzly over the head with it versus making a second shot hahaComment

Used to go shooting with a friend of my Dad's. He would bring along a Contender in .45-70 with a 10" barrel.
That thing was...well it would keep you awake when you shot it..
That would stop a tweaker pretty handily...and his car..

What do you plan on defending against. After watching my 45/70 blast a granite boulder in half I would be afraid that if I used it, it would blow through the intruder, exit the house, and chase small furry animals around outside.
