    MOE handguard on RRA 16"?

So I'm contemplating purchasing a Rock River Arms 16" upper because of the cost http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...product_id=378

I really like the Magpul MOE stuff and would like to use the handguards http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=sho...roduct_id=1219

Can I make them work on this upper? If not, do you know what RRA upper I should get and where to get it around the same price as Rainier Arms?

So looking around I've got two options looks like... I guess the CAR version would be most appropriate for the MOE handguards

Yes, they work just fine with the CAR uppers (needs a carbine length gas system)

Looks like you'd need carbine length gas system to use those guards.

PK Firearms has a couple of uppers in stock, some with DD barrles, some RRA, for about the same price or even less than the Ranier price. They ship quickly, charge fair prices for shipping. Be sure to buy carbine gas length, as they also have several mid-length like the ranier upper.

        all the best,
        Mike
There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

Really? I didn't know carbine handguards fit guns with mid-length gas and conventional front sight.

ETA: the upper referenced in the first post does say mid-length handguards.........

Magpul is supposed to come out with Mid length MOE hand guards. So if mid length is really important to you it might be worth the wait. But who knows how long it will take magpul?

Just a heads up... If you still decide to go with a Middy you can pick up a Bravo Co upper and BCG for about an extra $150
