    Carry handle optic

So I have a couple of 20 inch A2s (actual A2 non-detachable) uppers that I would like to put a prism on. At least one of them anyway. Both are Rock Rivers, both with stainless 1:8 Wylde barrels, one being a NM. My eyesight even with corrective lenses leaves something to be desired at distance and I get no kicks shooting at less than 200 meters. I?m not at all interested in the Brownell?s retro scopes even though they are tailored precisely for the carry handle. I?m kind of interested in the Primary arms GLx 2.5 but that?s on the lower end of the magnification I want and I don?t even know if there?s a mount to attach it to the carry handle. Price isn?t really an issue as I?m considering the TA33, TA110, and TA02 ACOGs as well. I?m also open to the idea of a quality fixed power 4x scope as well. Just curious to see what has worked for my fellow Calgunners and would appreciate any input and photos of your setups so I can make a decision. Thanks!

Post script: I’m a nose to charging handle guy so eye relief is a non-issue.

I have one these from Midway. If you click the link and click the reviews you can see a couple of photos of it on an A1 or A2 with scope added.

So that allows you to mount damn near anything I get that, but I was hoping for something that can mount directly to the carry handle like the retro Colt scopes do but I suppose that’s wishful thinking.

That and a PA micro prism 3x or 5x optic will work.

Use the same thing and have an older rubber coated tasco scope I got back in late 90s. Since gone back to irons though but may put scope back on.

Primary arms makes a carry handle adaptor for their SLx and GLx scopes. It's a deal at $19.99

              More adaptors for PA scopes.

Brownells used to sell a copy of the old Colt scope, made by the same company in Japan that made the original. Maybe check their site out?

Make sure your optic eye relief works with a carry handle mount. I've heard those prism scopes are very picky about eye relief and eye box.

You can also get an ACOG with a carry handle mount.
