    Any dp/dpm-28 owners here.

I'd like to go shoot my dpm-28 But it looks a bit naked with its flashider removed. I'm Wondering if Welding a washer to the end of the flashider will cause any problems or overgassing ? I know the belt fed version of this gun uses pretty much the same type cone flashider that's capped off at the end as a booster.. Just wondering if it's going to cause any damage to anything...........thanks

I think that’s a great question. If you have a spare flash suppressor I’d feel you could cap off the face with the appropriate washer and Tig it in place . As far as how much extra boost you might get and it interfering with the cycling of the firearm, I could imagine venting the cone with a series of holes would eliminate any excessive boost made by the cap.

Yes....I have a spare F/H and I thought about drilling some holes in the washer But was worried that would put me back into flash heider status....

Do not drill the holes in the WASHER.
Drill the holes in the flash hider cone so the cone does not "hide" the flash.
The holes let the gas pressure (and the flash) OUT of the muzzle device so that the muzzle device is not considered to be a flash HIDER.

Thank you both for that information...I've been just shooting it with the F/H off for now.
