Magpul's news release mentioned that the QD mount is optional.

a $20 option at that, then add another $10 for the QD it self

Let us know how it compares to a UBR.

I dont get all the people complaining about the QD mount. its only good for a 2pt sling. doesnt everyone use a single point?

Single point isn't as comfortable for extended periods. I prefer a two point if I'm going to be on my feet for hours with a rifle.

                    Yes, it's a collapsible stock.

Just got mine literally 10 minutes ago from the big brown truck. For around $130.00, this stock reflects the price and I see why the UBR costs nearly twice as much.

This ACS stock seems sturdy enough. It feels relatively good against my cheek and switching positions from 1 to 5 feels awkward to me. I guess its because of the friction lock and to me manipulating the release lever should be just enough for the average shooter. I personally hate that you have to lock the friction lock in place. (Just one extra step that is not needed on a quality stock in my opinion)

btw. This is mated to a Ultor milspec 5 position buffer tube and I am getting a noticeable wobble.

In the end....this stock looks good and im sure that others will love and loathe this stock but upon first impressions, im a little iffy on this new Magpul Stock.

I Think I'll stick to my UBR.

No...if you value your balls, you shy away from single point. This is not an SBR state....16in barreled weapons smack your jewels in transition from primary to secondary with single points.

Will anyone with a man beard report back??....Will the ACS rip out facial hair like the UBR???

Do you notice the wobble even with the lock engaged? I haven't mounted mine so I dont know. I actually dont have any tubes to try it out on...
