been around for well over a year. Not impressed with mine. Tired it a couple dozen times. Needs to be pretty dam slick/worn in and you need to practice very well to have a smooth motion load stripper clip style. I use stripper clips all the time in my sks...I do well.

This meh.. It would fail to get all rounds in..sometimes a loose one would jam on bolt close.

Its all BS. Rather use a armaglock and kinkpin

I went featureless so I could drop mags like a man... while holding my homely AR.

I thought it might be interesting for those who had gone the fixed-mag route. Good to hear replies from those who have tried this thing.

the mean arms loader/ been out a long time. I have one or 2 somewhere in a box. I also have a Bear Flag Defense loader, and like it a lot more than the Mean Arms loader

Thanks for the reports. I kept trying to find someone who actually used either MEAN Arms loader or any of the alternatives.

I think the biggest problem with loaders is that certain malfunctions exist that are difficult to clear without dropping the magazine. But I cannot help getting intrigued and excited about the clever design.

BTW, I went with a KelTec SU16CA. It proved to be reliable. My unit does not whack the back of the receiver, so it's not going to crack (probably). Has about 3,000 rounds on it.

people trip too much about malfunctions with fixed mags. there really aren't.

you are not law enforcement, you are not engaged in heavy fire clearing buildings in afghanistan.

Yes, Bear Flag Defense is much better.
