Need help with gas block...

I am such a dork sometimes, but I just realized I lost the little roll pin that connects the gas block and gas tube. I dismantled my old set up and was about to install my new LaRue rail/low-profile gas block and realized I lost the damn pin!!!!!!
Is there a subsitute pin (I have an extra LPK sitting around) that I can use in the meantime?
Another follow-up query- is it a roll pin or is it a solid pin? I don't rememeber..
I know I can order a new one, but can I use something else in the mean time?

I am getting too old to see these small parts or I need new bifocals.
