Adj Gas Block Key On-rifle Storage

This may not be a new idea, but I've not seen it...

If you have an adjustable gas block that requires hex key too long for grip storage, Magpul WCK is a good solution...

Most of mine are short enough to fit in grip storage, but I have one longer barrel with long handguard that puts gas block too far back to reach with short key (and there's no way to get it from the side)... I was trying to find some type of rail storage for long hex key - and the WCK idea fit the bill... works perfect.

Is also a good solution for grips with no plug, like Battle Arms ATG, which I love (even though I found plug that works okay, I like the option of rail mount storage with Magpul WCK - even for short keys)

just thought I'd share - in case anyone else has been looking for similar solution.

It's solid. It's in there and not going anywhere- same way cables are.

A thick Allen key probably wouldn't fit... but every gas block I have uses roughly the same (thin-ish) size - and they tuck in snug.

You do have to remove the WCK to key the key out... but they're quick and easy to remove - and you aren't doing it that often.

I guess I should have stated the obvious in initial post... the WCK is designed for cable management for weapon mounted light... it just happens to work perfect for storing adjustable gas block key that is too long for grip storage.

I'm pretty sure most understood it from the first post... but sometimes I'm misunderstood entirely
