    Trigger recommendation

I have Geissele SSA-E and LaRue 2 stage triggers - which are both really nice.

My current build, I'm using the Geissele trigger and having some issues, which might be trigger (disconnector related).

I'm looking for recommendations on a drop-in triggers that are quality w/out breaking the bank. Ideally under $150

TriggerTech makes some of the best triggers out there?got a few of them. They go on sale from time to time and find some models for round 150 ish and maybe a little cheaper.

What issues? You should contact Geissele and let them know.

Did you modify the trigger in any way?

Best description on AR-15 triggers I've read - Let's talk about triggers.

Personally, I like LaRue MBT-2S Straight Bow Trigger.

I have several RRA two stage match triggers. Surprisingly good considering their cost. Some I paid $62 for.

I've also heard the stories of them turning to one stage but all of mine are still shooting well. They are better than I am, all that counts.

LaRue triggers are time tested. No reason spend more.

I'm not exactly clear on what's happening here--Rather than troubleshooting the issue and working it out through warranty channels, you want to just throw out your current trigger and buy a new one?

Geissele and LaRue are both fine if that's what you want to do. But you can almost certainly fix the issue with your current trigger, without having to buy a new one.

**Sorry - I should have clarified, I'm not throwing out my trigger
Will need to do more testing at the range this weekend to diagnose where the problem is on my new build. If it ends up being trigger related, I'll follow up with the manufacturer.

I ordered a couple new lowers and want to start getting the parts for them. Never tried a drop-in trigger before so I was looking for recommendations outside of LaRue and Geissele

The CMC trigger is a good 1-Stage trigger in your price range.
If you want a 2-stage, I think the is a basic Timney trigger

I had issues with my newly purchased Geissele and ended up getting it replaced by warranty. It never felt right and contacted Geissele.

*** Update: took out the trigger and re-installed it. Also changed my buffer spring. New build ran flawless - no issues. This was my first piston upper, Adam Arms. Pretty happy.

Still want to try a new trigger, preferrably a drop-in, on my next built.

I use teflon coated BRT single stage triggers with a 3 lb. yellow spring and that special grip bolt that adjusts trigger travel. Set it any way you like.
