    Shipping AR lower

Is it legal to ship an AR stripped lower without going through a FFL? I'm shipping it back to the factory because it is out of spec. I have already paid for it and filled out the forms ect. Therefore can I ship it to the dealer and have them ship it back to me (as a stripped lower) without going through a FFL?

    Thanks!

You can send it out USPS to the manufacturer if they'll receive from a non-FFL but when they send it back to you I'm pretty sure it will still have to come in through an FFL.

Repairs by the manufacturer can be sent back directly to the owner.

+1 - if it's your rifle with the same SN it can be sent directly back to you.

If they replace it with a new SN'd lower, you'll have to DROS it again.

Shipping direct to an FFL is always OK.

+1. Just get one of those smaller free flat rate boxes at USPS and mail it out. Should be around 6 bucks or so via Priority.
