    muzzle brake ?

does anyone know where I can find a muzzle brake for an AR-15 that only adds minimal length to the barrel?

not sure what you mean but I am looking for something to go on the end of the barrel to make it larger but not longer. It can not be too long though. if spike's made a fake can that was 2 inches it would be perfect. as long as it fit over the barrel and screwed on at the end.

I've got a YHM brake on the end of one of my rifles, and if I had to guess it's less than 2" long.

It threads onto the end of the barrel just the same way a flash hider would.

i guess what i am looking for is more for decoration than actual usefulness.

Yes, the YHM brake suggested by Blue screws onto a threaded muzzle. Use a crush washer (usually included w/ the brake) to secure it to your rifle. I'd suggest taking it to a gun shop to have it installed correctly, and to make sure the ports are lined up.

Dude are you looking for something specifically to protect the threads at the end of your barrel? IIRC they make such a thing for that. I'm having a hard time trying to imagine what you're trying to do here.

i guess it would be a glorified thread protector...

he wants something flashy to put at the end of his barrel, but don't want it to add considerable length.

pretty much he is looking for barrel bling

on my pistol the barrel just sticks out about 1 1/2" so I kinda want to cover it up without making it longer
