I have had one of those for almost 10 years but I still have not shot it.
Or maybe it's the 22LR one.
I probably should go dig it out to see which one it is.Randall Rausch

Pretty neat, think I’d go with a much smaller optic. Probably just a micro red dot, at the most a three or four power prism. The glass is almost as big as the rifle, serious overkill. Do they make any that take Glock mags or an adapter like Ruger.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

Yes, it uses 92 mags. Though I've had issues with factory Beretta 92 mags, but Mec-Gar's work well, even 96 mags.
I had no spare red dot so used this variable scope. It brings everything real close!
I read somewhere that the only part that interchanges with GI parts is the rear sight: http://www.m1carbinesinc.com/carbine_chiappa9mm.html
I've thought about trying to fit a steel bayonet lug because the one on the Chiappa is polymerComment

They should probably make one that takes Glock mags. They'd sell well."Show me a young conservative and I'll show you a man without a heart. Show me an old liberal and I'll show you a man without a brain." - Sir Winston Churchill

Good looking gun, but they break bolts.
My gunsmith got one in with a broken bolt, ordered a new one from Chiappa.
Replaced the bolt and gave it back to the customer, new bolt broke .
I don't know what happened after that.
A guy I shoot with got one of the carbines, he shot it for a while and the bolt broke.
He called Chiappa to order another one , they would only ship the part to a gunsmith.
Had the new bolt sent to a gunsmith and installed, then he got rid of the gun.
He built a 9mm upper for his AR-15.
I hope you have better luck with yours.Last edited by CamW; 09-01-2023, 10:27 AM.Comment
