    JP Rifles

What are people's thoughts on JP 15 Pro rifle?

I seen many reviews / debates about top end AR style rifles. Usually this includes Daniel Defense, LWRCI, KAC, BCM, etc... but not much about JP.

I have JP's GMR-15, their 9mm blowback AR style rifle and think the quality is pretty good.

Where would you put JP's 15 Pro rifle in comparison to higher end manufacturers? and is the JP 15 Pro worth the money - about $2,400? Seems like overall they use all quality, top end components:

Too expensive for my taste. But quality rifles from what I hear.

I?ve got a low mass bolt carrier group, adjustable gas block, and captured buffer system on my AR-308. It took quite a while to get it tuned right, but now it?s really soft shooting.

The parts seem well made with no machining marks and consistent finish throughout. I?ve never shot an entire JP rifle though.

JP made their name making some very nice Competition setups. Best descriptors for a JP rifle I?ve heard from happy owners have always been: well tuned, appealing to the eye, flashy, very accurate, etc.

If competition is your intended use, you won?t feel out gunned by anyone at the 3 Gun match.

If you want a ?duty? rifle, their stuff may still fill that role in pretty well. Albeit, with a little more flair and lightweight parts than what the fancy ?duty? manufacturers have.

I have one, bought it from the marketplace. I had to send my upper in because the gas block adjustment screw got stuck and I stripped it. They confirmed to me that they had not built the rifle but would fix my error.
It shoots well, gets dirty a little quick, but otherwise I've been happy with it.

Can?t speak to that particular rifle but I purchased a 20? supermatch cryo medium contour with one of their low mass BCG?s and an enhanced bolt for my large frame build and it?s the most accurate AR platform rifle I own.

JP’s quality is about tops for the industry. They make duty grade rifles too but they made their name in competition. The only thing to look at with dependent on the use for self defense is the gas block and a standard weight carrier. They offer these products. Love my JP rifle and have 10k down the barrel. Would not hesitate to buy them again.

Neighbor does long range competition with a JP15. The only mod he did was add a 2 stage flat Geissele. He let me plink with it a couple times, probably the most accurate rifle I've ever used even though I don't dig flat triggers.
