Saiga Sporter-Lucky shot wood stock

I have never been happy with the plastic stock on my Saiga, It felt cheap and hollow, loved the Saiga, but the stock not so much. I did look into the Ironwood design stock but at the time I could not justify the price which I believe was $350 vs what I paid for the Saiga was $499 at Turners in 2015.

Now I was ready to purchase and unfortunately, as many of you know the owner passed, and they are no longer produced. I searched this forum and one of you suggested Lucky Shot. Very pleased with the outcome, love the way it looks although the foregrip is a bit thicker and not as comfortable as the original. The cheekpiece I was unsure of initially but it feels comfortable.

Big shout out to Primary Arms, they exchanged a 4x scope from 2016 that had issues with the reticle and replaced it with the Rapture 3x, love it about 1/3 of the size of the old 4x.

The trigger was upgraded with Dinzag parts which brought the trigger pull to 4lbs.

Two things I would look into if you wanted to shorten the LOP on this Saiga stock. The easiest is to find a thinner butt pad to fit the stock or email Rick at Lucky Stock and ask if he can shorten the stock.

I did read the reviews before I ordered and one of the main complaints was the time to receive which seemed to be between 30-60 days, apparently, he makes the stocks as the orders come in. My experience was three week time from order to receiving.

Judging from his packaging it is a small operation. Hope this helps.

I'll look into that, I honestly don't mind waiting. I don't even shoot the rifle much anyways because of the length of pull.

Hopefully, it works out for you. I personally love the look of the Saiga with the wood stock and commie red.

Assuming you are talking the Microprism 3X with the Raptor reticle, that's a nice rig. Use it on my .308.

Wow that looks great OP. like others mentioned, the Saiga Stock has a crazy long Length of Pull. It throws me off. I think i need to update the look of mine
