They've been oos for few years now. Just the brn4 lower runs for about $1.5k nowadays. I just ended up getting an Mr556 lower instead because it was easier to find and significantly less expensive https://imgur.com/a/G7rzaEj

Not sure exactly when they were made, but this is what they're going for:

I thought Brownell's had been selling real HK uppers, and that sorta replica lower for awhile. I shortly contemplated building one, but it would have added up to about $6500 iirc.

When I figured I could buy 3 MCX's with change left over, and I'm not sure the 416 is any better, I decide not to. True, I'd be the first on my block to have one that everyone thought was real... Actually, I'm not even sure of that, given my next door neighbor was in Afghanistan.

The one MrGnG showed, is full clone, with no real HK parts, other than the handguard (?).

Looks like parts kits for the uppers are 1400

The initial BRN-4 that sell for so much came from a large batch of HK forgings that Zib got their hands on. They were finished by a Brownells contractor. There were also a bunch of parts kits

Brownells most recent venture is HK style gas operated rifle completely made entirely by Brownells and their contractors.

So now what do I do with my BRN-4 lower since all the parts are so darn expensive?
